BMW & i series: Future moving trends

The circular blue and white car brand logo must be familiar to many people, it is the logo of BMW, the world-renowned luxury car brand.

The full name of BMW is Bayerische Motoren Werke AG. The company was founded in 1916 and headquartered in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The blue and white on BMW’s logo is as same as the colors of the Bavarian state flag, while BMW headquartered in Bavaria state. Over the past 100 years, BMW has evolved from an original aircraft engine manufacturing plant to a high-class sedan-led company that produces aircraft engines, off-road vehicles and motorcycles. On December 18, 2018, the "2018 World Brand Top 500" compiled by the World Brand Lab was announced, and BMW ranked 16th. In October 2019, BMW ranked 11th in the global top 100 brands released by Interbrand.

Like Mercedes-Benz, BMW Motors is pursuing the goal of high quality, high performance and high technology, and its production quantity is not high, but it enjoys almost the same reputation as Mercedes-Benz in the world of automotive and users. BMW's acceleration performance and high-speed performance are among the best in the world's automotive industry. Therefore, the police car of all countries is preferred BMW. BMW's motorcycles are quite expensive in the international market, even more than luxury cars, priced at about 30,000 US dollars.

BMW believes that high-quality products, customer-centric, luxurious service and experience, future-oriented, forward-looking, and employee satisfaction are the main factors for success and industry leadership. It is the employees of the company that have turned the success story of the BMW Group into reality. Therefore, the BMW Group believes in a company that is credible, transparent to the public, and loved by its employees, and incorporates it into the company's business philosophy.

The success of the BMW Group stems from its forward-looking vision and highly responsible actions. The BMW Group implements ecological and social sustainability strategies throughout the value chain. Comprehensive product responsibilities and clear energy efficiency commitments have become an important part of the BMW Group's corporate strategy. It is also because of the positive image of BMW that BMW's consumers have been given high-income, good-tastes labels.

BMW's cars are available in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, i, M, X, Z and other series. Among them, 1 series includes small cars, 2 series includes small coupes, 3 series includes medium-sized cars, 4 series includes medium-sized coupes (including hood), 5 series includes medium-large-sized cars, and 6 series includes medium and large coupes (including a hood). The 7 Series includes luxury D-Class cars, the i series includes BMW electric car and hybrid cars, the M series includes BMW high-performance and sports car version, the X series is includes BMW-specific SUV (sports utility vehicle), the Z Series includes BMW's entry-level sports cars.

Among all the BMW series, the i series, which reflects the company's clear energy-saving commitments and social sustainability strategies, is dedicated to the design and manufacture of plug-in electric vehicles to implement the ecology in BMW's value chain.

In the minds of many consumers, mentioning the three-legged luxury car brand, they will naturally think of BBA (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi), but not as everyone estimated, in the new energy vehicle field, due to the late arrival of Mercedes-Benz, Audi's defeat, makes BMW successful lonely.

Recently, global new energy vehicle sales were announced in September 2019, in which Tesla won the champion with 49,821 vehicles, while BMW and BYD ranked second and third with 14,289 vehicles and 13,003 vehicles. It is worth mentioning that BMW is the only luxury vehicle brand among the top 10 sales. For such a ranking, we are amazed at the good performance of BMW in the new energy vehicle market.

Talking about BMW's first new energy model, it should be the i3. BMW i3 is an all-electric luxury SUV with a compact 5-seater designed primarily for urban and suburban travelling. Up to now, the BMW i3 has achieved sales of more than 130,000 vehicles worldwide and is BMW's most proud new energy model.

The biggest feature of the BMW i series is not only the use of electricity for vehicles, but also because the production processes and raw materials of this series are environmentally friendly and are all designed to work for the sustainable development of the earth.

Compared with the excellent results of i3, i8, another electric car from BMW i series, perform slightly behind. But it is undeniable that BMW's position in the electric car market is beyond the reach of other luxury car brands.
